Self evaluation

As I've studied marketing, there were a lot of familiar content, but it just dug deeper on specific subjects. The one I learnt the most about, was with the pictures and how to use them correctly, as previously didn't know about different kinds of creative commons. Also found it extra helpful to think about my own digital identity, and how inconsistent it is at the moment. How I can and will improve it, will help communication in the social media, and also help me to get jobs in the future. Made me also think about my nonexistant activity on LinkedIn, where I used to get many job offers from headhunters.

I believe, that could've digged a little deeper on the social media implemention plan,  or make more real-life examples and posts. Could've also added more photos to illustrate my plan.

I feel like I learned a lot also from doing the SMART- guide, where I learned how to make content of my area of expertise, with a lot of useful inspiring information, but also made it interesting (at least in my mind). This is more what I could be focusing on in my future instagram posts.

Social media implementation plan- Fit and healthy women

Social media implementation plan for selling my personal training skills to adult women in Helsinki area.

The plan has a focus on building community and providing fitness content tailored to the demand of women aged 25-45, leveraged with Instagram as the primary platform.

Name of the plan: Fit & Healthy Women

The primary goal is to educate, provide inspiration and support to adult women, so that they can achieve their personal fitness goals through accessible training content. With special interest to mothers and busy professionals, feeling like they don't have enough time to take care of themselves. Aim is to create a supportive online environment that truly addresses the most common challenges, such as balancing work, family and me-time.

Instagram was chosen because of its highly visual content, and most used by young- to 45 year old women in Helsinki area, and its ideality to share workout videos, motivational posts, and educational content. It also allows direct engagement through comments, dm:s, interactive stories. Making it ideal to build a community. (For example compared to Snapchat)

Instagram can be used by posts and reels: for example daily workouts, tips on fitness& nutrition, transformation stories to keep followers motivated and engaged. Stories on polls, Q&A sessions, and behind the scenes content to increase the engagement & interaction. Also live sessions, like weekly workouts or discussions on most common topics, enabling real-time connection with followers.

As instagram is very public, privacy must be addressed. Thats why private coaching and consultations are done off the platform through secured channels. Such channels will be email or encrypted messaging apps. Content shared by clients with permission will be anonymized, ensuring that personal details will not be disclosed.

To ensure longevity, there will be regular checks on the engagement metrics, such as likes, comments, shares and follower feedback. This way one can see which posts are liked the most, and to help steer the style of the content to the right direction. In addition, seasonal promotions and collabs are used to expand the reach and maintain momentum. Also money are drawn from subscribers. Exclusive content will be made to subscribers.

Achieve your goals by using the SMART-method

How to set long-term goals with the help of SMART?

If you are thinking about changing your life for the better, this is for you. Maybe you are embarking on a fitness journey. You are tired of being tired on a daily basis or your partner has been worried about your high blood pressure & colestrole levels, or you simply would like to feel stronger and boost your confidence level. However, how many times have you started the new journey, motivated and ready to change your eating habits or exercise routine? How long has that decision lasted, a day, week, month maybe?  Did you know that 95% of diets fail. (Freedhoff, 2014) Same could be linked to new exercise routines.

How to then help yourself keep your head in the game and keep making the small choices that will, in time, make you reach your goals. Here is where SMART comes to the rescue.  SMART- is a proven method to ensure long-term succes in your health journey and it comes from words Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timebound. (Williams, 2024)

Specific:

When setting the goal, the more specific you can be the better the outcome. For example: ''I want to lose weight--> I want to lose 5kg, or in 6 months my blood pressure will be 120/80 mm Hg. Also focusing on a specific area like strength or cardiovascular health, eating 500g of greens daily, will. help you attain your goals.

Measurable:

Quantifying the goal helps you track the progress, so that you will stay accountable. Using metrics such as repetitions, distance, how frequently to workout or time is helpful. (Williams, 2024) Also keeping check-points will earn you small wins along the way.

Achievable:

Your goal should be realistic to your resources, time and fitness level. (Williams, 2024) Although changing your life for the better is meant to push you, but if the goal isn't attainable, people generally lose interest. For example setting a goal of completing a 5km run instead of 20km in 3months is healthy. Sometimes you might also need some help if your resources aren't enough. This could be where a personal trainer could be the right person to turn towards.

Relevant:

Your goal should align with your objectives. Think about what truly matters to you personally. The goal you decide to attain, should resonate and agree with your values in life, this will keep you motivated. (Williams, 2024) For example, if you're planning to attain a goal of running a 5k, your goals shouldn't consist of bench pressing 100kg in 3months, and should instead be something more lower body related with some cardiovascular exercise.

Time-bound:

To be accountable of your actions, motivate yourself with a goal to create some urgency. This will help you also structure your goals, as well as give yourself some small wins along the way.

By using SMART- tactique, you will set yourself up for success, with creating an easy to follow roadmap along the way, with goal that suits your personal beliefs and needs.
